Oh My God… save the humanity…..

It is not the question of heinous, dastardly and cowardice act of some misguided fundamentalists in Pakistan today.  It is not the question of Sydney or Belgium yesterday. It is the question of bigger hands behind such acts anywhere in the world. It is the question of political patronage to such hands. It is a question of whole humanity, irrespective of religion, caste, color, creed or nationality. These acts are the culmination of simple facts of greed and selfishness of inhuman politicians all over the world who sow the seeds of hatred and destruction and fail to cap it when it assume larger than life proportions. They ignore the fundamental fact that you will reap what you have sown. Are such elements prepared to awake from the slumber and see the reasons? Hopes are very bleak!!! The humanity seems to be in great danger…..God save it.

The World is a Dream…..….a God’s Dream Play

At night, at our rest hours, when we fall asleep, there is something within us that does not fall asleep and remains awake, remains at work, thinks, wanders distance places, creates its’ own world and images and interacts with its’ own creations, the images of real and unreal persons, the vast nature, does many physical and mental acts & reacts, takes decisions, enjoys & suffers consequences and feels pains and pleasures, prays, surrenders, laughs, cries and do vast imaginable and unimaginable things. Who is this entity, who does all these things? We call it the core of the cores, “the consciousness”, and “chetna” in Hindi. Is not this power bestowed within us is the power to create, destroy and sustain the “dream world” during our dream state which is nothing but a replica of the power of the God, the Almighty who creates, destroy and sustain our real world? Yes!!! This power is exactly analogous to the power of God who dreams this world, the “real world” we call it. In dream state, we act God with our unreal but presumed to be real world in our dream whereas the God in his dream state, acts in his unreal world presumed to be our real world in the God’s dream.

In our dream state, as we dream of the images of many real and unreal creatures and nature. The real and unreal creatures and nature do not rise and come to our dream world. How it can? The real persons who appear in our dream may be sleeping at their own places and even, might be dreaming of their dream world where, we might appear as a player or else, might be busy in their own real world. Then from where and how do they appear in our dream world? Many saints and yogis have postulated the theory on this phenomenon. They say that in our dream world, we actually use the God’s power blessed to us, to become “Many” from the “One” and the inner “I” becomes “Many”. By this theory, it draws a conclusion that there is no difference between the “Many” and the “I”, the ultimate and absolute “unity”, the “Ekatmata” in Hindi. The “I” and “Many” are the one and the same.

The above also establishes a higher theory about our so called real world, the real persons, the real nature and the creator, the God; as we call it. Is not the real world the creation of God? Is not the real world a God’s dream world? Is it not the God himself/herself has become the world? Has not the God become “Many” from the “One”, Himself/Herself? It should be absolutely true and this is in reality, the ultimate truth. We ourselves appear, disappear and reappear in God’s dream world from nowhere, but from Him and the God’s play goes on and on till infinity. In our real world but the God’s dream world, when we appear, we come and multiply from the same unity, becoming “Many” from “One”, the God and when we disappear, we merge and become part of the same unity, the “One”, the God. The proof lies in the repeated proclamations of saints and yogis that “Tat Tvam Asi”, "That art thou," "You are that," "Aham brahm asmi", “I am He, I am the brahm”, “Me and My Father are One”. This truth has been said many times in the saying “ekam sat viprah bahudha vadanti”, "that which exists is One: sages call it by various names” but we usually fail to realize this “Param Satya”, the highest and absolute truth and divide & tear ourselves apart, remain divided and suffer, which gives real pain to us. Those who rise above the division become part of the unity, the “One”, the God and achieve liberation, the “Mukti”, the “Param Dham” as per the true Indian Sananatn Dharma…the Indian philosophy.

Arvind Kejriwal and Indian Public

Many people criticise Arvind Kejriwal and AAP, may be  just to prove that they know politics and nation building better. They try to prove that they are elite, well versed in all fields and are way ahead in debating, guiding and approving the traditional way of governance, with a right to criticize and applaud here and there. They have a very good helicopter view of society and Indian fabric but would not allow their helicopter to land on the raw fields to have a close look of the ills at its roots. Kejriwal attacks head on at the roots and therefore, either the opponents ignore him speechlessly and laughably or try to find faults with his ways and means, diverting and missing the real substance.

On the other hand, Indian public are showing more sense of understanding and therefore, they are aligning more and more with Kejriwal and AAP. One Arvind Kejriwal may succeed or fail but the Indian democracy and people will win and many Kejriwals will arise from nowhere out of this churning.

Who is the real culprit? One who is doing crime or the one who let it happen before his eyes.

This question reminds me a story of a boy initiating to stealing in childhood, patronized and protected by his loving aunt, growing to a man and resorting to big thefts. One day he is caught and punished in the court. Before being sent to severe imprisonment, the judge asks him his last wish. The man desires to meet his loving aunt and say something to her. She is called in the court and the man approaches her and pretends to say something in her ear. He says to his aunt if she had stopped him from stealing in childhood itself, he would not have turned as a big thief and would have saved from the harsh punishment. Saying this, he bites her ear severely leaving her bleeding as punishment for not doing her duty for not stopping him as a child from stealing. The moral of the story is that Dhratarashtra and Bhishma Pitamaha, who sided with the wrong doers “the Kauravas” and patronized  “adharma” are equally responsible for the crime.

A reality

A reality,….A child comes in this world with a body….every child comes in this world with a body. The child does not come with a name and caste, does not come with a religion, even with a language to speak. The parents give the child a label, a name, a family name, a family caste, a family religion and teach a family language. If these labels are not attached to the child, there will be no separate identity, no different religion, and no division. The labels do not come free to the child. The child develops a gradual concept of I, me and mine. The consciousness says “It is my name, my family name, my religion, my community, and my country”. The concept develops into “Ego”, a self “ego”, a deep attachment to the false image of self which is the cause of all conflicts. Can these conflicts be avoided? Yes, can be, but needs learning, teaching and needs modifying the consciousness at the deepest level that I came to this world with a nameless, casteless, religion less body, so there is no difference between me and my fellow travelers to this planet, irrespective of his/her position, wealth and possessions . Our education, our political and governance system do not teach us this reality. Let us change this at least at our level by constantly remembering the truth, the reality.

Main hun Aam Aadmi

“Main hun Aam Aadmi”

I am the common man, the “Aam Aadmi” of India, the biggest democracy on this planet. Some people call me mango man. Some people call my country a banana republic.

I have a long history as old as the civilization, but today, let me focus my thoughts on the post independence era. As a common man, I ploughed the barren fields. I lifted goods and pulled rikshaw on broken roads. I labored in factory. I taught students in schools in open fields, I taught students in good schools in and colleges. I did whatever work I was asked to do. I earned my livelihood, looked after my family and remained practically aloof from the socio-political process. I remained mere spectator and acted only as a “vote” in the country’s political process.  Sometimes, my ignorance was exploited and I was thrown in fires of political rallies, yatras, disturbances and communal riots, may be for few coins or by exploiting my emotional and religious innocent beliefs. After 67 years of India’s independence, I am still the same common man and I accepted all the rights and wrongs without much courage to raise any questions?

As a common man, I watched a section of society growing their wealth exponentially adopting all legal/illegal means whereas, as a common man on the street, I am still struggling to survive. I am a mute witness to the extreme disparities between rich and poor. As a poor, I am living in unlivable, inhuman conditions; suffering from malnutrition, lack of medical aid, lack of proper sanitation facilities and even lack proper food for survival. Still, I astonishingly watch big people calling India a great democracy. I watch these people, even after sixty seven years of Independence, promising me to eradicate poverty, every now and then and uplift my livelihood.

I have been hearing of many small and big corruption cases in the country taking the toll on the nation’s developments, practically under all political regimes of the governance but could not dare to raise a finger, leave aside witnessing proper conviction.

Under such a scenario, I watched an agitation by Team Anna and Mr. Arvind Kejirwal in Delhi for Lokpal Bill. I watched with deep agony people coming on the street to protest against rape of a girl in the national capital. In the age of electronic media, these incidents had suddenly waked up my consciousness. After sudden waking up from deep the deep slumber, I realized that Anna and Kejiwal are speaking my voice. I watched them demanding passing of a strong Lokpal Bill in parliament to control cancerous growth of corruption. I too joined the chorus. They repeatedly proclaimed that most of the political parties have the same ideology on corruption and have tacit understanding of not exposing each other’s cases and continue with their money making and power sharing arrangements. All political parties challenged Anna and Kejriwal that the bills cannot be passed on the street and if they want to frame the laws, they should join politics and enter parliament.

And here comes Arvind Kejriwal accepting the challenge to join the politics and forming a political outfit “Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)”, offering an alternate political philosophy and system of governance. After building the party and asking people to donate for election funding, listing the donors names on the website, he rose to challenge the mighty Sheila Dixit in Delhi Assembly Elections. Arvind Kejriwal has started telling me that the time has gone for the Aam Aadmi of this country to keep mum and tolerate everything in the name of democracy. He started telling me that the time has really come for each one, like me to become an active and aware citizen and challenge the ills in society and governance.

The AAP promised me a clean alternative to present day’s politics where least concern is shown to the common man whose role in governance is considered over after his casting of vote once in five years. This promise appeared to offer a historical opportunity to right minded patriotic citizen and common man like me to ponder over what Kejriwal is saying. Kejriwal appeared sincere and honest to me. For the first time, common man like me got a voice and was receiving attention. I was asked to come forward and be a part of cleansing process. Kejriwal asked me to join the party, asked me to donate for election, asked my views on various issues and was easily approachable. He looked like me and he could touch my heart with full sincerity. I started feeling empowered and decided to give my trust to him.

Then came the Delhi state elections. Overwhelming majority voted for Aam Aadmi Party but still it fell short of majority. AAP members again came to common man like me to ask my opinion on minority government formation. I advised AAP to go ahead and form government and prove that how honestly, the system can be used to serve the common man. Today, AAP is heading the Delhi government and Kejriwal has become the national hero, receiving praise for good actions as well as brickbats for mistakes all over. But, certainly he has become a role model for many and specially for a common man, like me.

Today, as an empowered common man, I am witnessing that AAP could give a direction to the strong desire of masses to offer a substitute to the forces of status quo. Where it will lead, the future will tell, but certainly, it has given new direction and hope for the political discourse in the country. If the team remains sincere, honest and patriotic in its efforts, come what may, they will succeed and the Indian history will remember them forever. If they fall prey to greedy politics, the same Indian history will remember them as traitors to deceive people’s faith and as a consequence, the AAP will be consigned in the dirty water of Yamuna.

The other political parties have got 67 years to rule and misrule, I, the aam aadmi, want to give  AAP some reasonable time for the promised “Swaraj”.

Satyagraha

“Satyagraha”……a film starring Amitabh Bachchan, a real image of Indian democratic system at work…a must watch for every Indian…

After a very long time, some time back, I ventured out to watch Praksh Jha’s movie “Satyagraha”. As the story unfolds, it progresses on expected lines, gathering the moments from idealistic conversation between a young aspiring young man, bubbling with energy and an old fading man, a law abiding school teacher, to cruel events, nexus between politicians and businessmen, manipulations, murders, political game fixing, compulsions of jod-tod ki rajneeti – the coalition politics, crushing the common man under the wheel of corruption and at the end, successfully awakening the consciousness of common man… “the aam aadmi”, turning into a  “Satyagraha”, “a mass movement”,  taking a bloody shape but simultaneously exposing the dirtiest and ugliest face of politics and governance. It draws many inspirations from real life national and international public events of anger against the corrupt systems, be it Egyptian up-rise or Anna – Kejriwal and Nirbhaya movements. The film has succeeded in exposing the real face of politics and governance, common man’s spirit of fight for justice and hope of light at the end of tunnel. It is a real image of Indian society at the cross road  and Prakash Jha’s work will certainly help it to understand the dirty tricks and electoral gimmicks of politicians at the time of election and judge a candidate more judiciously, avoiding the traps and pitfalls in the way while voting.

The movie also compliments and supports Kejriwal zeal for cleaning the system by jumping into the dirt.
