शांतता! कोर्ट शुरु है

भारत में राम जन्म भूमि  एक ऐतिहासिक हिन्दु-मुस्लिम विवाद रहा है। इतिहासकारों का कहना है कि सन् 1१५२८ में बाबर नामक बाहरी आक्रमक ने अयोध्या में राम मंदिर तोड़कर वहां एक मस्जिद बनाई थी, जिसे बाबरी मस्जिद के नाम से जाना गया। कहते है सन् १८५३ में हिन्दुओं और मुसलमानों के बीच इस जमीन को लेकर पहली बार विवाद हुआ था। तबसे किसी न किसी रुप में यह विवाद चलता रहा। स्वतंत्रता के बाद इस विवाद का राजनीतिकरण भी शुरु हो गया, जिसके पक्ष और विपक्ष में राजनीति करने से कोई भी राजनीतिक दल नही बचा। नवंबर १९८९ में कांग्रेस पार्टी के पूर्व प्रधान मंत्री राजीव गांधी ने हिंदु संगठनों को विवादित स्थल के पास शिलान्यास की इजाजत दे दी थी। कांग्रेस सरकार का ये फैसला हिंदू वोट बैंक को अपनी तरफ आकर्षित करने के लिए माना गया। बाद में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के लालकृष्ण अडवानी के नेत्रत्व में एक बड़े राम मंदीर आन्दोलन ने रुप लिया। ६ दिसम्बर १९९२ को हिन्दु कार्यकर्ताओं ने अयोध्या में बाबरी मस्जिद गिरा दी, जिसमें भारतीय जनता पार्टी की प्रमुख भूमिका रही थी। परिणाम स्वरूप देश में व्यापक पैमाने पर दंगे हुए जिसमें करीब दो हजार लोगों की जानें गईं। मामला बाद में न्यायालय पहुंचा। लम्बे समय के बाद सन् २०१० में इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय की लखनऊ पीठ ने निर्णय सुनाया था जिसमें विवादित भूमि को रामजन्मभूमि घोषित किया गया। इस फैसले को उच्चतम न्यायालय में चुनौती दी गई थी और बाद में तय हुआ था कि ५ दिसंबर २०१७ से इस मामले की अंतिम सुनवाई शुरू की जाएगी।

उसके बाद तारीख पे तारीख का क्रम जारी है। सुना तो था कि आज से राम जन्म भूमि पर रोज सुनवाई होगी। पर रोज सुनवाई तो दूर, केवल दो मिनट में ही सिर्फ एक नई तारीख, वह भी जनवरी की दे दी गई।

कपिल सिब्बल ने झ्स विवाद को 2019 के बाद तक टालने की कोर्ट में अर्जी दी थी। क्या उस अर्जी की दिशा में ही परिस्थिति मोड़ नही ले रही है? क्या इस फैसले ने भारत की जनता को फिर से राम जन्म भूमि पर मंदीर बनाने और न बनाने के मुद्दे में पुनः उलझा तो नही दिया? क्या यह कोई षडयन्त्र तो नही है? क्या भारतियों को विकास के एजेंडा से दूर रखने का यह एक राजनैतिक प्रयास तो नही है?

यह भी सही है कि रोहिंग्यों/बांग्लादेशियों/पादरियों/आतंकियों/नक्सलियों के लिए कई प्रशान्त भूषण और कपिल सिब्बल जैसे वकील पैदा हो जाते है। क्या हिन्दुओं के मामलों में कोई प्रशान्त भूषण और कपिल सिब्बल  नहीं है!

आज का फैसला हिन्दुओं के धीरज की परीक्षा जरूर लेगा।  २०१९ के आम चुनाव को देखते हुए इस विवाद का पुनः राजीतिकरण भी होगा। ओवैसी जैसे लोग तुरन्त कूद पड़े और सरकार को धमकी दे रहे है कि यदि हिम्मत हो तो राम मंदिर बनाने पर अध्यादेश लेकर आए। इसके पहले कांग्रेस नेता शशि थरूर ने कहा था कि अच्छे हिन्दु नही चाहते कि अयोध्या में राम मंदीर बने। नए नए जनेउधारी शिवभक्त हिन्दु राहुल गांधी क्या ऐसे अच्छे हिन्दु बन पायेंगे ? रही बात भारतीय जनता पार्टी की उसका तो राम मंदिर का निर्माण हमेशा एक मुद्दा रहा है। "कसम राम की खाते है, मंदिर वही बनायेंगे" यह उनका नारा रहा है। क्या वे २०१९ के पहले राम मंदीर बनाने के लिए अध्यादेश ला पायेंगे? उनकी भी यह परीक्षा की घड़ी होगी।

यदि हां, कोर्ट यदि जल्दी फैसला दे देता तो शायद इस विवाद के  राजनीतिकरण से बच सकता था और शायद कोर्ट का फैसला पक्ष और प्रतिपक्ष दोनों को स्वीकार्य हो सकता था।

लेकिन, शांतता! कोर्ट शुरु है।

Caged Parrot

The shake up in CBI has shaken up the country and politics is going to be on the boil till next big explosion.

The shake up is either a clean up operation of certain dirty games being played by it in collaboration with some high & mighty in opposition or it's an action to suppress certain wrongs by the present government.

I believe the first one to be more likely as the history of the desperate opposition on the corruption is well known. Unfortunately, it does not smell well.

Being in power for the longest period, it is much easier to assume that Congress has nourished many sympathizer in the beaurocracy and has developed an eco-system favourable to it. Many people in this class may also not be happy with the Modi government as the buzz word of the present government is accountability and good governance. Such eco system will not be liked by the corrupt lot.

We all remember that the Supreme Court in 2013 had denounced the CBI as a "caged parrot" and "its master's voice" when the government was headed by UPA.

Rahul Gandhi's recent revelation on the shake up is noteworthy and is being questioned by experts. How come he knew that CBI's no.1 was  probing Rafale deal and that's the reason for sending him on leave?

Is it not more likely that the government's mid night action on CBI was aimed at checkmating the opposition's game plan?

Hope the facts will be revealed through the fair investigation. With this perspective, the decision taken by the government to send the CBI's no. 1 & 2, both on leave appears to just and right.

योग क्या है?

योग क्या है? आज योग विश्व भर में अनेक रुपों में अपनाया गया है। विश्व अब 21 जून विश्व योग दिवस के रुप में भी मनाने लगा है। भारतीय ऋषि मुनियों ने योग को  कई तरह से परिभाषित किया है। योग शब्द संस्कृत धातु 'युज' से बना है, जिसका अर्थ है व्यक्तिगत चेतना या आत्मा का सार्वभौमिक चेतना से मिलन। योग को भारतीय योगाचार्यों ने विज्ञान भी कहा है। योग आसन से भिन्न है। आसन का संबंध केवल शरीर तक ही सीमित होता है। लेकिन योग इससे आगे जाकर शरीर, मन और आत्मा को एक साथ जोड़ने का काम करता है। योग एक प्राचीन भारतीय जीवन-पद्धति है, जिसे अपना कर मनुष्य न केवल स्वास्थ्य लाभ पाता है पर परम आनन्द की भी प्राप्ति करता है।

भारतीय योग पद्धति के जनक महर्षि पातंजलि के अनुसार 

'योगश्चित्तवृत्तिनिरोधः' योग चित्त की वृत्तियों के निरोध का नाम योग है।

योग का भगवद् गीता में भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने विस्तार से वर्णन किया है। भगवद् गीता के अनुसार  व्यक्त को अव्यक्त  से जोड़ने को योग कहा गया है।  शरीर और उसकी चेतना व्यक्त है, दिखाई देती है, अनुभव की  जा सकती है, लेकिन जिस अव्यक्त शक्ति के कारण यह व्यक्त रूप गतिमान होता है, उसे आत्मा कहा जाता है।  ईश्वरीय शक्ति भी अव्यक्त है। इसलिए योग  को व्यक्त शरीर और हमारी चेतना को अव्यक्त यानि आत्मा और उससे भी आगे जाकर अव्यक्त  ईश्वरीय शक्ति के बीच संबंध बनाने की प्रक्रिया  के रुप में देखा, समझा और प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव किया जाता है। ज्ञानी और सिद्ध पुरुषों के द्वारा  योग की प्रक्रिया  को  व्यावहारिक तरीके से  सिद्ध  कर पूरी तरह से विज्ञान के दायरे में  बांधा गया है।

असल में उस अव्यक्त ईश्वरीय शक्ति का व्यक्त रुप ही हमारी समस्त सृष्टि है। उस अव्यक्त शक्ति के बिना सृष्टि में शेष कुछ भी नही बचेगा।

The beauty of Bhagwad Gita

An extract from Chapter 6
Shloka 30, 31 & 32

यो मां पश्यति सर्वत्र सर्वं च मयि पश्यति |
तस्याहं न प्रणश्यामि स च मे न प्रणश्यति || 30||

सर्वभूतस्थितं यो मां भजत्येकत्वमास्थित: |
सर्वथा वर्तमानोऽपि स योगी मयि वर्तते || 31||

आत्मौपम्येन सर्वत्र समं पश्यति योऽर्जुन |
सुखं वा यदि वा दु:खं स योगी परमो मत: || 32||

He who sees Me in all things and all things in Me, never becomes separated from me, nor do I become separated from him. That yogi who, established in unity, worships Me, dwelling in all beings, abides in Me, whatever his mode of life. O Arjuna, thay yogi is regarded as the highest who judges the pleasure and pain of all beings by the same standard that he applies to himself.

Seeing others as self and self as others, feeling other's pain as pain to self is not the true religion? Should it not be regarded as the unifying message of religions?

When in today's world the religion is used as a tool to divide the society and people by political parties to gain votes of ignorant masses, the above message is even more relevant. This is a  message to all people of all religions, races or sects that binds all people in a common thread. It does not separate them but establishes love, harmony and together among the citizens of the world. Religion is a personal matter of choice and using it for political purpose and dividing people is a crime against the humanity.

If we refer this message as an extract from Bhagwad Gita, the today's world will ascribe it to a message from Hindu religion. If we don't tell an ignorant person that the message is from Bhagwad Gita, he will accept this as an universal truth. Gita also has not used the word 'Hindu' as a religion anywhere. Gita, a dialogue between Bhagwan Krishna and his friend and disciple Arjuna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra is said to be more than five thousand years old whereas the word Hindu has been coined few hundred years back.

And Hinduism is not a religion per se. It's a way of life and has an open architecture, a open source code to boot and  reboot one's life. Then why use it for dividing people? Why divide them as good Hindu or bad Hindu. On Hinduism, the Supreme Court of India in its 2995 judgement has also supported this view and said;

The historical and etymological genesis of the word ‘Hindu' has given rise to a controversy amongst Indologists; but the view generally accepted by scholars appears to be that the word ‘Hindu’ is derived from the river Sindhu, otherwise known as
Indus which flows from the Punjab.

“When we think of the Hindu religion, we find it difficult, if not impossible, to define Hindu religion or even adequately describe it. Unlike other religions in the world, the Hindu religion does not claim any one prophet, it does not worship any one god, it does not subscribe to any one dogma, it does not believe in any one philosophic concept, it does not follow any one set of religious rites or performances, in fact, it does not appear to satisfy the narrow traditional features of any religion or creed. It may broadly be described as a way of life and nothing more.

Sadly, no political party in India has been left untouched by politics of religion to garner few additional votes. All have discarded the meaning of true religion. Display of temple visits,  wearing tilak, display of janeu, wearing skull cap, visiting Churches or gurudwara, mandir, masjid; all fall under the dirty and vulgar game of politics.  People using these appeasement tools have no regard or commitment to any religion or any sect or society of people.

Beware of such politicians.

ये तेरा घर ये मेरा घर

हम सबका एक घर है, मेरा भी एक घर है। आपका भी है।

मेरे पड़ोसी का घर यदि उजड़ जाये तो उसे मै कुछ दिन के लिये तो अपने घर में शरण दे सकता हूं, उसे कुछ दिन खाना पीना दे सकता हूं।

लेकिन उसे हमेशा के लिए मेरे घर में पनाह देकर अपने घर की अर्थ व्यवस्था और सुख शांति बरबाद करना  मेरे लिए संभव नही होगा। पूरी उम्मीद है, आपके लिये भी नही होगा।

मनोज कुमार की फिल्म 'उपकार' का प्रसिद्ध कलाकार प्राण द्वारा बोला गया वह संवाद याद आता है, जिसमें प्राण मनोज कुमार से बार बार कहता है; "भारत तू दुनिया की छोड़ पहले अपनी सोच. राम ने हर युग में जन्म लिया है लेकिन लक्षमण जैसा भाई दोबारा पैदा नहीं हुआ".

उक्त संवाद आज भी सत्य की कसौटी पर खरा, उपयुक्त और व्यावहारिक है।

भारत मेरा देश है, मेरा घर है। यहां भी बाहर से आये शरणार्थियों को कुछ दिन के लिए तो पनाह दी जा सकती है। मानवता का सही तकाजा भी यही है और स्वीकार्य भी है।

रोहिंग्य शरणार्थियों के विषय में भी यही बात अक्षरशः सत्य है। उन्हें कुछ दिन तो भारत में शरण दी जा सकती है। लेकिन उन्हें स्थायी रूप से बसाकर भारत का सदस्य, नागरिक बनाना, उन्हें वोटर कार्ड और आधार कार्ड देना भारत के मूल नागरिकों के साथ अन्याय और धोका है। भारत की अर्थ व्यवस्था और सुख शांति को बुरी तरह से प्रभावित कर उस पर इससे ज्यादा और कोई कुठाराघात नही हो सकता। इन्हें भारत में बसाने की बात की मांग करने वालों का अघोषित असली और मूल मुद्दा तो घिनौनी वोट बेंक की राजनीति का है। कुछ अल्प संख्यकों के वोटों को पक्का करने की गहरी साजीश  मात्र है। एन आर सी का विरोध भी इसी साजीश का हिस्सा है। साजीश क्या यह भारत के विरुद्ध बहुत बड़ा षडयंत्र है।

रोहिंग्यों को भारत में बसाने की मांग करने वाले यदि इतने ही मानवता के पूजारी है तो वे इन्हें अपने अपने स्वयं के घरों में क्यों नही बसाते? उन्हें अपने स्वयं के घर का सदस्य क्यों नही बनाते? कश्मीर से निष्कासित अपने ही देश में शरणार्थी बनें कश्मीरी पंडितों के हक की जब बात आती है, तब तो उनकी बोलती बंद हो जाती है। उनके लिए केंडल मार्च नही निकलता और कोई सुप्रीम कोर्ट के दरवाजे नही खटखटाता। इनके लिए एक भी प्रशांत भूषण आधी रात को सामने नही आता।

अंत में फिर...

भारत तू दुनिया की छोड़ पहले अपनी सोच. राम ने हर युग में जन्म लिया है लेकिन लक्षमण जैसा भाई दोबारा पैदा नहीं हुआ.

भारत ने 1947 में एक भाई पाकिस्तान पैदा किया। इसके घाव का दर्द और रक्तपात वह आज तक झेल रहा है। भारत, और कितने भाई पैदा करोगे? कितना दर्द और रक्तपात झेलोगे?

एक ऐतिहासिक भूल या एक गहरी चाल

एक स्वतंत्र भारत के नागरिक के रुप में कभी कभी सोचने पर मजबूर हो जाता हूं कि १९४७ में जब भारत स्वतंत्र हुआ तब एक ब्रिटीश साम्राज्य, जिसके खिलाफ हमने आजादी की लड़ाई लड़ी, उसीके मुख्य प्रतिनिधि लॉर्ड माउंट बेटन को स्वतंत्र भारत का गवर्नर जनरल बनाना स्वीकार किया। क्या भारत में कोई भी व्यक्ति गवर्नर जनरल बनने के लायक नही था। कहते है लॉर्ड माउंट बेटन को गवर्नर जनरल बनाने के फैसले को भारत की केबिनेट में भी पास नही करवाया गया था। इस फैसले के पीछे जवाहरलाल नेहरु की ही प्रमुख भूमिका रही थी। क्या यह फैसला हमारी गुलाम मानसिकता का परिचायक नही था। सवाल सीधा है, जिसके खिलाफ हमने स्वतंत्रता की लड़ाई लड़ी उसे ही हमने अपना राष्ट्राध्यक्ष ही नही बना दिया बल्कि उसे ही प्रमुख सलाहकार भी मान लिया। या यो कहिए कि घर के लुटेरे को ही घर का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त कर दिया जाए। क्या यह एक ऐतिहासिक भूल थी या एक गहरी चाल या दोनों? भूल भारत की और चाल ब्रिटीश एम्पायर की?

इसके विपरीत स्वतंत्र पाकिस्तान ने अपना गवर्नर जनरल मो. अली जिन्ना को बनाया था, भारत की तरह किसी अंग्रेज को नही।

इतिहासकार कहते है कि नेहरु और लॉर्ड माउंट बेटन के इस युगलबंदी की ही देन हमारी सत्तर वर्ष पुरानी रक्तरंजित कश्मीर समस्या है। यह भी सही है कि कश्मीर के मुद्दे पर प्रमुख भूमिका नेहरु की ही रही थी और सरदार पटेल को इस मुद्दे से दूर ही रखा गया था।

इसीलिये कई विचारक मानते है कि यदि सरदार पटेल को भारत का  प्रथम प्रधान मंत्री बनाया जाता तो आज हम लोगों के सामने एक अलग ही भारत की तस्वीर होती। साथ ही भारत में लोकतंत्र अधिक मजबूत होकर डायनास्टिक राजनीति का जन्म न हुआ होता और एक ही परिवार में जन्में नेहरु-गांधी वारिसों ने राज न किया होता। जवाहरलाल नेहरु का भारत के निर्माण में योगदान का पूर्ण सम्मान करने के साथ ही कहने में कोई हर्ज न होगा कि इतिहास के कुछ घटनाक्रम या ऐतिहासिक गलतियों ने भारत को जो कश्मीर समस्या के जो घाव दिये और डायनास्टिक रुल की जो परिपाटी रखी उससे भारत की प्रभुसम्पन्नता, शक्ति और सच्चे लोकतंत्र का नुकसान भी कम नही हुआ।

Assam NRC, a storm in the political cup!

Almost all opposition political parties, pseudo secularists and liberals are up in arms to protect the 40 lakh illegal infiltrators in Assam. The West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee is going far beyond and threatening of a civil war and bloodbath in the country if these infiltrators are thrown out. The desh bhakta Congress party and the author of 1985 Assam accord signed by late Prime Minister Sh Rajeev Gandhi is not far behind and is equally at it's tows in opposing the draft NRC report.

The history of the 1985 accord!

The 1985 Assam accord was a culmination of six-year agitation launched by the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) in 1979 which paved the way for identification and deportation of illegal immigrants from Assam. As per the agreement, it was decided that all illegal infiltrators who entered the state between January 1966 and March 1971 would be disenfranchised for a period of 10 years, and those who came after March 1971 would be deported. And those who came to Assam prior to January 1, 1966, would be given Indian citizenship.

It emerges from the historical facts that signing the accord on paper was one thing for Congress while implementing it truthfully was another. Congress slept over the accord for considerable time and the provisions of the Assam accord were never implemented for a period of around 20 years.  Later on,  another agreement was signed in 2005 between the Congress lead  centre government,  the Assam government and the All Assam Students Union (AASU) and a decision was taken to update the NRC on the basis of NRC 1951 and electoral rolls up to 1971. A two-year deadline was also fixed to complete the exercise and  a pilot project was launched in some districts. However, it soon ended with the  eruption of violent agitations by groups opposed to such exercise and the NRC updation was halted. In 2009 Assam Public Works (APW), an NGO had filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding identification of Bangladeshi foreigners in the State and deletion of their names from the voters’ list. Finally, the Supreme Court ordered the government in 2013 to complete the exercise by December 31, 2017. This has led  to the present updation of NRC over which political leaders and the protectors of law & order are threatening their country men of civil war &  bloodbath if the NRC is implemented.

Now why opposition are opposing the NRC? It's pure appeasement politics of vote bank and nothing else. They all see twin benefits in opposing the NRC. One, to consolidate their Muslim vote bank in India and two, garnering the additional vote bank of those 40 lakh infiltrators if they get Indian citizenship. They don't have any other considerations like human rights or helping the needy poor people who have made India their home illegally. They talk of it but it is only a leap service for people's consumption. Their hearts never bleed for Kashmiri pundits who are forced to become refugee in their own country after they were forcefully evicted from Kashmir. Of-course their hearts again bleeds for the Rohingya Muslims whom they want to settle in India. They too have a potential to be a captive vote bank in future and is integral part of the twin benefits.  They never threaten a civil war if corruption is not rooted out from the politics and country. Their hearts never bleed for poor homeless  Indians sleeping on pavements and leading inhuman lives in slums. They never threatened a civil war to uplift the poor Indian citizens and dying farmers. The poor, the homeless, the jobless, the dalits and the downtroddens are the political tools in their hands to use them and throw them when the need is over. The need is only the votes. And for votes, they can throw the poor in fire, can create mass agitations & riots and burn public & state properties and the cities.

And of-course the national interest come very late in their priorities. They can compromise the national interests for political gains. They can come in support of terrorists and attackers of parliament.   They can shake hands with separatists and even ask help from enemy country to remove a democratically elected prime minister. They can call chief of our army as 'sadak ka gunda'. Power is the only consideration in their mind and everything else either comes very late or has zero value in their scheme of things.

The draft NRC in Assam is one step and is subject to correction through a process of rectification. India's soverignity, integrity and right of its native citizens is prime most and cannot be compromised. India is already  engulfed with many internal problems and the country cannot afford to add another to its cup and share it's precious resources with illegal infiltrators. Why only Assam, the illegal Bangladeshi migrants are spread all over India with high percentage in states like West Bengal, Bihar, Maharashtra etc. As per the government estimate, presently India is having over 20 millions illegal Bangladeshis living in India. So why not we have a nation wide NRC? It's seems to be impossible in the current scenario of vote bank politics where the desh bhaktas and desh rakshaks are turning to desh bhakshaks just to grab power and remain stuck with it.

The time will only tell which way the storm of Assam NRC, will blew the political cup!
