Glass is Half Empty, Half Full

This is not the famous optimist's or pessimist's story of half empty glass or half full glass. This is the story of India's half filled glass, left half empty by the evils deeply rooted in governance system. Many people may have watched this episode on "Satya Mev Jayate". Worth watching this 4 min. 16 sec. video clip again. It is agreed and no doubt  that India has achieved a lot during last 70 years but the video also tells the bitter truth about the other side of India's story. And the most affected people by the other side of the story are the common men, the men on the street, the men in the third world of India, whether in cities or in villages. The "Haves" have not suffered much, rather gained from the corrupt system but the "Have nots" the  people sitting on the fences have been pushed down & down. Think of India if there would have been no corruption! India could have been a economic super power today with world class housing, schools, universities, hospitals, roads, railways and all we can think of. The glass is really half empty & half full.

Actually the person who planted the seed of  poison in the system at the beginning itself is the first one to share the  blame for the growth of a gigantic poisonous tree over 70 years. When the plant is small, it is very easy to root it out. But the big tree cannot be cut with a single blow. Many many continuous blows will be required to eliminate the poison. And the blows have to be taken by us also.

Some people are happy about what we have gained in last 70 years. I refuse to be part of this group as I have seen the pain of the people who have  lost their lives struggling to meet the two ends, just for survival. I refuse to be part of the group who feel proud to say; "your sin is greater than mine & therefore I have every right to sit on the crown".

The legacy of corrupt governance will continue till there are sympathisers of the system within us. No Modi or anybody else can clean our mentality, and absolutely not the people who have watered the poisonous plant. We, "the Haves"  are all smart people, can always find ways to manipulate and oil the system. So stop blaming outsiders. Stop putting every blame on the three years of  Modi government for the legacy of 70 years  (after all he is also evolved from this legacy only). Let us first put blame on ourselves and correct & make us 24 caratte pure.

It will take anybody years to fill the half empty glass.
