Lord Krishna Promises that every person can realize the Lord

Bhagwan Krishna as per Verse 32 of Chapter 9 of Shrimadbhagwad Gita says;

मां हि पार्थ व्यपाश्रित्य येऽपि स्यु: पापयोनय: |
स्त्रियो वैश्यास्तथा शूद्रास्तेऽपि यान्ति परां गतिम् || 32||
hi pārtha vyapāśhritya ye ’pi syu pāpa-yonaya
striyo vaiśhyās tathā śhūdrās te ’pi yānti parā
gatim
Meaning: O Patha, the son of Pritha, those who takes shelter in Me, though they be of lower birth of women, vaisyas [merchants], as well as sudras [workers]-can approach the supreme destination.

Bhagwan Krishna say in this verse that whosoever takes shelter in Me, whether they have taken birth in sinful class like women, merchants, lower castes (Shudras) can surely realize Me. This statement of the Lord Krishna appears discriminating between man and woman and also sends a discriminating message between the man of lower castes and upper castes. In today’s modern world, it is difficult to accept such a discriminatory pronouncement from none other than the Lord Krishna Himself whom the Hindu religion considers all powerful creator, the supreme God. In today’s world, a woman is not considered less in any respect than a man. In a democratic modern society, all men too are also considered as second to none and all equals. People may say that the Lord Krishna Himself is discriminating between sexes and man & man based on his caste or class. But, it appears certain that the statement should have a basis of the contemporary societal practices in the era of Mahabharata. Moreover, in today’s modern world also the biases based on the sexes and class or caste of a man are prevalent in many parts of the world. Therefore, it would be wrong to assume that the Lord Krishna is discriminating between man and woman or based on the caste or class. However, irrespective of these disparities and classes, the Lord Krishna assures that whosoever takes shelter in Him can realize Him. In the service of God, the Lord says that there is no distinction between the lower or higher castes or sex. At various places in the Gita, the Lord says that He is the cause of everything and everyone. Everything, the sun, moon, stars and the universe and everyone, the men, women and all creatures have descended from Him and at the time of dissolution, would merge back in Him. He is equally present there in a man, woman, people from lower caste or higher caste and every creature of the universe and so how He can discriminate between His own parts?
Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and understand the above verse of the Gita in proper perspective and out rightly should not be termed by anybody as discriminating. In His eyes, a man becomes high or low based on his or her deeds and not by the castes or sex.
