दिल्ली में किसान मोर्चा

कल से दिल्ली में दो दिन का किसान आंदोलन शुरु है। आजयह आंदोलन भारतीय संसद के दरवाजे पर पहुंचने वाला है। रामलीला मैदान में हजारों किसान धरने पर है। फिर नेताओं का जमावड़ा कैसे पीछे रह सकता है। और ये ही लोग किसानों का जमावड़ा भी इकट्ठा कर सकते है। गरीब किसान तो अपना इलाज करवाने शहर तक भी नही जा सकता है। इतने बड़े आंदोलन के लिए पैसा चाहिए, स्पांसर करने वाला चाहिए। पर्दे के पीछे कौन है? कोई न कोई बड़ी ताकतें तो होगी ही।

आश्चर्य कि बात तो यह है कि आज जो नेता इन किसानों के साथ खड़े दिखाई दे रहे है, उनमें से कइयों को लम्बे समय तक सत्ता सुख भोगते हुए देखा गया है। सत्ता सुख तो इन्होंने लम्बे समय तक भोगा है पर देश के किसानों की हालत बद से बदतर होती चली गई। किसान आत्महत्यायें करने पर बाध्य हो गये। हां, फरक पड़ा है इन नेताओं की सम्पति का जो कई गुणा बढ़ी है। अनेकों उदाहरण सभी जानते है। राजनेता अथाह सम्पति के मालिक कैसे बनें? इसका जवाब ये लोग नही देते। किसानों की गरीबी और भूखमरी का उपयोग करना ये लोग भली भांति जानते है। और साढ़े चार साल पहले सत्ता में आये मोदी सरकार को सारा दोष देना यह तो इनका प्रमुख दांव है। जैसे किसानों की सारी समस्यायें मोदी के आने पर ही आई हो। जैसे  देश में इसके पहले देश में किसान मालामाल थे। कोइ आत्महत्या नही करते थे। केवल मोदी ने ही किसान के इतने बुरे दिन पैदा किए।

कुछ विपक्ष के राजनेताओं को और साथ ही बांई विचारधारा के पक्षधरों को तो गरीब अच्छे लगते है। तभी तो इनके "गरीबी हटाओं,  मुफ्त में राशन, मुफ्त में बिजली, मुफ्त में पानी, कर्जा माफी" जैसे अनेकों नारें जन्म ले सकते है और जनता को भिखारी बनाया जा सकता है। अशिक्षा, गरीब और गरीबी तो इनका सबसे बड़ा राजनैतिक हथियार है। तभी तो देश में क्रांति का नारा दिया जा सकता है। यदि न रहेगा बांस तो बंशी कहा से बजेगी? न रहेगा गरीब तो इनकी राजनीति की दुकान कैसे चलेगी? अतीत गवाह है कई बार और कई राज्यों में किसानों का कर्जा माफ किया गया है। कई बार मुफ्त में राशन और बिजली बांटी गई है। पर क्या किसानों की और देश के गरीबों की आर्थिक हालत सुधरी है?

आज किसानों को भीख देने की नही है। जरुरत है, उन्हें सिंचाई के अच्छे साधन, फसल की उचित किंमत और फसल खराब होने पर उचित मुवावजा देने की। साथ ही किसानों को अच्छी स्वास्थ्य सेवा, उनके बच्चों को अच्छी शिक्षा और उचित मुल्यों पर अच्छे बीज और उर्वरक उपलब्ध करवाने की आवश्यकता है।

देश का अन्नदाता जो अपना पेंट भरने के लिए पूरे राष्ट्र का और  राष्ट्र के हर नागरिक का पेंट भरता हो, उसे भूखा रखना और आत्महत्या के लिए मजबूर करना सबसे बड़ा देश का सामूहिक गुनाह और पाप है। यह बंद होना चाहिए। इस पर हर राजनेता और नागरिक को एक होना चाहिए। यह राजनीति का विषय नही है। इस पर राजनीति बंद होना चाहिए।

तुलसी विवाह

कर्म फल से कोई नही बच सकता। देवता भी नही। तुलसी विवाह से प्रचलित कहानी यह बात सिद्ध करती है।

कहानी भगवान राम के जन्म काल से भी पहले की है। उस समय जलन्धर नामक अत्यंत बलशाली राक्षस बड़ा उत्पाती था। उसके उत्पात से देवतागण भी परेशान थे। जलन्धर का वध करना किसी के बस में नही था। इसका कारण था, उसकी पत्नी, वृन्दा का पतिव्रत धर्म। उसके पतिव्रत धर्म के प्रभाव के कारण ही जलन्धर पर विजय पाना किसी के लिए भी अत्यंत कठीन था। इसके उपाय के लिए परेशान देवतागण भगवान श्रीविषणु के पास गये और सहायता मांगी। देवतागणों को बचाने का विष्णुजी को कोई उपाय समझ में नही आ रहा था, सिवाय पतिव्रता वृन्दा का पतिव्रत धर्म भंग करने के।

यह काम भी इतना आसान नही था। छ्ल कपट का सहारा लेना पड़ा। एक योजना के तहत देवताओं ने जलन्धर को युद्ध के लिए ललकारा और उधर भगवान विष्णु जलन्धर का रुप लेकर वृन्दा के पास जा पहुंचे। वहां उन्होंने वृन्दा को छूकर उसका पतिव्रत धर्म भंग किया। उसके परिणाम स्वरुप उसी समय उधर युद्ध में जलन्धर पराजीत होकर मारा गया और उसका सिर कटकर वृन्दा के समक्ष जा गिरा। यह देखकर वृन्दा ने जलन्धर के रुप में सामने खड़े व्यक्ति की पहचान जानना चाहा। वह क्या देखती है, उसके सामने साक्षात विष्णु खड़े थे।  क्रोधित होकर उसने भगवान विष्णु को श्राप दिया। उसने कहा जैसे तुमने छल से मेरे पति की हत्या कर मुझे पति वियोग दिया वैसे ही तुम्हें भी पत्नी वियोग सहना पड़ेगा। तुम्हारी पत्नी का भी छ्ल से हरण किया जायेगा और तुम्हें पत्नी वियोग में तड़पना पड़ेगा। इसके लिए तुम्हें पृथ्वी पर मानव जन्म लेना पड़ेगा। इसके पश्चात वृन्दा अपने पति के शरीर साथ चीता में प्रवेश कर सती हो गई और परमात्मा में विलीन हो गई। वहां एक पौधा निकला जिसे तुलसी का नाम दिया गया। वृन्दा के सतीत्व की याद में ही हर वर्ष तुलसी का विवाह श्री विष्णुजी के साथ किया जाता है।

वृन्दा के श्राप के फलस्वरुप भगवान विष्णु को पृथ्वी पर अयोध्या में राजा दशरथ के पुत्र राम के रुप में मानव अवतार लेना पड़ा। वनवास के समय लंकाधिपति रावण के द्वारा सीता का छ्लपूर्वक हरण किये जाने पर पत्नी वियोग सहना पड़ा।

यह भगवान विष्णु को वृन्दा का श्राप मानें या कर्मफल माने, दोनों एक ही बात है। कर्मफल से किसी का बचना असंभव है। देवताओं के लिए भी नही।

एक कहानी यह भी है कि वृन्दा ने विष्णुजी को उसके साथ छ्ल करने के लिए श्राप दिया था कि तुम पत्थर बन जाओगे। उस पत्थर को शालीग्राम का नाम दिया गया। देवताओं के आग्रह पर वृन्दा ने अपना श्राप वापस लिया और भगवान विष्णु पुनः प्रकट हुए। उन्होंने वृन्दा से कहा कि तुम्हारे सतीत्व का मै सम्मान करता हूं। तुम तुलसी का पौधा बनकर हमेशा मेरे साथ रहोगी। उस समय से हर वर्ष तुलसी का विवाह शालीग्राम के साथ सम्पन्न किया जाता है। इसलिए बिना तुलसी दल के विष्णुजी की पूजा अधूरी मानी जाती है।

आज भी उसी परम्परा की पुनरावृती है। कार्तिक माह की एकादशी को हिन्दु धर्म को मानने वाले तुलसी के पौधे की भगवान शालीग्राम याने श्री विष्णुजी के साथ सम्पन्न करते है।

हिन्दु एक चौराहे पर

मै भारत ही नही विश्व के सभी धर्मों के अन्दर गर्भित परम सत्य का आदर करता हूं।सभी धर्मों के अन्दर अच्छाई की मूल भावना ही मेरा धर्म है। "एकं सद्विप्रा बहुधा वदन्ति" की कल्पना को स्वीकार करते हुए मै यह मानता हूं कि सभी धर्मों ने देश, काल, और परिस्थिति के अनुसार एक ही सत्य को अलग अलग तरीके से उजागर और परिभाषित किया है। किसी अन्य पर अत्याचार या उसका शोषण कर अपना  या अपने धर्म का हित सिद्ध करना न तो मेरा धर्म है और न ही मेरी प्रवृति है। मै एक हिन्दु हूं जो वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् की भावना का आदर और सम्मान करता है। स्वामी विवेकानन्द के द्वारा १८९३ में शिकागो धर्म संसद में कहा था, "मैं उस धर्म से हूं जिसने दुनिया को सहिष्णुता और सार्वभौमिक स्वीकृति का पाठ पढ़ाया है. हम सिर्फ़ सार्वभौमिक सहिष्णुता पर ही विश्वास नहीं करते बल्कि, हम सभी धर्मों को सच के रूप में स्वीकार करते है"। स्वामी विवेकानन्दजी के इस कथन को मै अपना मूल मंत्र मानता हूं।

मुझे विश्वास है, हर एक सच्चा और अच्छा हिन्दु इन्हीं मान्यताओं को लेकर जीता है।

लेकिन आज मुझे बहुत दुख होता है जब अनेकों राजनेता अपने राजनैतिक लाभ और वर्ग विशेष को खुश करने के लिए "हिन्दु" शब्द को रोज घोर अपमानित कर रहे है। हिन्दु आतंकवाद, हिन्दु पाकिस्तान, अच्छा हिन्दु, बुरा हिन्दु, हिन्दु मंदिर में लड़किया छेड़ने जाते है आदि अनेकों शब्दों का उपयोग कर हिन्दुओं को अपमानित करते है। इनमें कई लोग हिन्दु ही है और कुछ लोगों की विडंबना यह है कि वोट के फायदे के लिए वे वेशभूषा बदल कर हिन्दु होने का ढोंग रचाते है। पता नही ऐसे बनावटी हिन्दु अच्छे या बुरे हिन्दुओं की श्रेणी में आते है। भारत एक हिन्दु बहुल देश है। क्या हिन्दुओं और हिन्दु धर्म को बदनाम और कमजोर करने की यह इन  राजनेताओ की साजीश तो नही है? क्या जिस धर्म ने विश्व को सहिष्णुता और सार्वभौमिक स्वीकृति का पाठ पढ़ाया है, उसे कमजोर कर खत्म करने की कोई विश्व स्तरीय योजना कार्यरत है? यदि ऐसा नही तो ऐसे वक्तव्य क्यों आते है? क्यों हिन्दु धर्म की मूल भावना और अच्छाई को शिक्षा से १९४७ के बाद दूर रखा गया है। क्यों शिक्षा में गीता और रामायण जैसे हिन्दुओं के ग्रंथों को कोसों दूर रखा गया है। धर्म निरपेक्षेता के नाम पर इन ग्रंथों में निहित नैतिक मूल्यों को क्यों शिक्षा में स्थान नही दिया गया। क्यों भारत के आदि काल से चली आ रही नैतिक  शिक्षा को खत्म किया गया है? आज हिन्दुओं की आस्था के प्रतीक भगवान राम को काल्पनिक क्यों बताया जाता है? क्यों हिन्दु धर्म या हिन्दुओं की बात करना आज सांप्रदायिकता मानी जाती है और मुसलमान की बात करना धर्म निरपेक्षता माना जाता है?

ऐसे कई प्रश्न है जो एक सच्चे भारतीय और सच्चे हिन्दुओं के मन में अवश्य आते होंगे। इसके उत्तर हमें ही ढूंढना है। विचार करना है। कल क्या हो किसने देखा पर हिन्दुओं को जागरुक रहने की अवश्य जरुरत है। यदि हम नही संभले तो मुझे डर है कि कहीं हिन्दुओं की उदारता कल उन्हें ही न ले डूबे।

अयोध्या में राम मंदिर

आज कांग्रेस और सारा विरोध पक्ष अयोध्या में राम मंदिर बनाने के सहयोगी दलों और विशेष तौर पर भारतीय जनता पार्टी को सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सम्मान और मर्यादा की याद दिला रहा है। बात सही है, प्रजातंत्र में संविधान सर्वोपरी है और इसका सम्मान करना हर भारतीय और राजनैतिक दलों का दायित्व ही नही बल्कि कर्तव्य है। लेकिन....

1. उस व्यवस्था में देश की जनता क्या करें जब किसी विवाद को सुलझाने के लिए सत्तर साल से भी ज्यादा लग जाते है। वह अदालत का कैसे सम्मान का दावा कर सकती है जो राम जन्म भूमि विवाद पर तारीख पे तारीख देती रहती है, जबकि कुछ विषयों पर आधी रात को भी दखाजें खोल देती है? जनता इस विराधाभास को कैसे मान लें?

2. अदालत और संविधान के सम्मान का विषय तब कहां चला गया था जब इलाहाबाद हाइकोर्ट के फैसले को कांग्रेस पार्टी ने नही माना  जिसमें स्व. प्रधान मंत्री को अपदस्थ किया गया था और बाद में देश को इमरजेंसी के दौर का सामना करना पड़ा?

3. अदालत और संविधान के सम्मान का विषय तब कहां चला गया था जब शाह बानो केस में सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले को कांग्रेस काल में पूर्व प्रधान मंत्री स्व. राजीव गांधी ने कोर्ट उलट दिया था?

गलत परिपाटी की नींव तो कांग्रेस ने रची। आज वह ज्ञान बांट रही है। लेकिन इसके अध्यक्ष आज हिन्दु वोट के लिए जनेउधारी शिवभक्त हिन्दु बनकर मंदिर मंदिर भटक रहे है, कल राम मंदिर बनाने का क्या विरोध कर पायेंगे? यह निर्णय उन्हें दलदल और खाई चुनने जैसी चुनौती से कम नही होगा।

भारतीय जनता पार्टी के लिए तो यह परीक्षा की घड़ी है ही। एक तरफ वह सत्ता में होने से उसके हाथ संविधान से बंधे है तो दुसरी तरफ हिन्दु समाज और संगठनों का उस पर राम मंदिर बनवाने के लिए  दबाव बढ़ता जा रहा है। तीसरी तरफ राजनीतिक दृष्टि से राम मंदिर उसके लिए हमेशा एक मुद्दा रहा है और लोकसभा चुनाव समीप होने से राम मंदिर का निर्माण उसके लिए फायदेमंद हो सकता है।

जो भी हो, इतिहास की विरासत तो वर्तमान को झेलना ही पड़ता है।

शांतता! कोर्ट शुरु है

भारत में राम जन्म भूमि  एक ऐतिहासिक हिन्दु-मुस्लिम विवाद रहा है। इतिहासकारों का कहना है कि सन् 1१५२८ में बाबर नामक बाहरी आक्रमक ने अयोध्या में राम मंदिर तोड़कर वहां एक मस्जिद बनाई थी, जिसे बाबरी मस्जिद के नाम से जाना गया। कहते है सन् १८५३ में हिन्दुओं और मुसलमानों के बीच इस जमीन को लेकर पहली बार विवाद हुआ था। तबसे किसी न किसी रुप में यह विवाद चलता रहा। स्वतंत्रता के बाद इस विवाद का राजनीतिकरण भी शुरु हो गया, जिसके पक्ष और विपक्ष में राजनीति करने से कोई भी राजनीतिक दल नही बचा। नवंबर १९८९ में कांग्रेस पार्टी के पूर्व प्रधान मंत्री राजीव गांधी ने हिंदु संगठनों को विवादित स्थल के पास शिलान्यास की इजाजत दे दी थी। कांग्रेस सरकार का ये फैसला हिंदू वोट बैंक को अपनी तरफ आकर्षित करने के लिए माना गया। बाद में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के लालकृष्ण अडवानी के नेत्रत्व में एक बड़े राम मंदीर आन्दोलन ने रुप लिया। ६ दिसम्बर १९९२ को हिन्दु कार्यकर्ताओं ने अयोध्या में बाबरी मस्जिद गिरा दी, जिसमें भारतीय जनता पार्टी की प्रमुख भूमिका रही थी। परिणाम स्वरूप देश में व्यापक पैमाने पर दंगे हुए जिसमें करीब दो हजार लोगों की जानें गईं। मामला बाद में न्यायालय पहुंचा। लम्बे समय के बाद सन् २०१० में इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय की लखनऊ पीठ ने निर्णय सुनाया था जिसमें विवादित भूमि को रामजन्मभूमि घोषित किया गया। इस फैसले को उच्चतम न्यायालय में चुनौती दी गई थी और बाद में तय हुआ था कि ५ दिसंबर २०१७ से इस मामले की अंतिम सुनवाई शुरू की जाएगी।

उसके बाद तारीख पे तारीख का क्रम जारी है। सुना तो था कि आज से राम जन्म भूमि पर रोज सुनवाई होगी। पर रोज सुनवाई तो दूर, केवल दो मिनट में ही सिर्फ एक नई तारीख, वह भी जनवरी की दे दी गई।

कपिल सिब्बल ने झ्स विवाद को 2019 के बाद तक टालने की कोर्ट में अर्जी दी थी। क्या उस अर्जी की दिशा में ही परिस्थिति मोड़ नही ले रही है? क्या इस फैसले ने भारत की जनता को फिर से राम जन्म भूमि पर मंदीर बनाने और न बनाने के मुद्दे में पुनः उलझा तो नही दिया? क्या यह कोई षडयन्त्र तो नही है? क्या भारतियों को विकास के एजेंडा से दूर रखने का यह एक राजनैतिक प्रयास तो नही है?

यह भी सही है कि रोहिंग्यों/बांग्लादेशियों/पादरियों/आतंकियों/नक्सलियों के लिए कई प्रशान्त भूषण और कपिल सिब्बल जैसे वकील पैदा हो जाते है। क्या हिन्दुओं के मामलों में कोई प्रशान्त भूषण और कपिल सिब्बल  नहीं है!

आज का फैसला हिन्दुओं के धीरज की परीक्षा जरूर लेगा।  २०१९ के आम चुनाव को देखते हुए इस विवाद का पुनः राजीतिकरण भी होगा। ओवैसी जैसे लोग तुरन्त कूद पड़े और सरकार को धमकी दे रहे है कि यदि हिम्मत हो तो राम मंदिर बनाने पर अध्यादेश लेकर आए। इसके पहले कांग्रेस नेता शशि थरूर ने कहा था कि अच्छे हिन्दु नही चाहते कि अयोध्या में राम मंदीर बने। नए नए जनेउधारी शिवभक्त हिन्दु राहुल गांधी क्या ऐसे अच्छे हिन्दु बन पायेंगे ? रही बात भारतीय जनता पार्टी की उसका तो राम मंदिर का निर्माण हमेशा एक मुद्दा रहा है। "कसम राम की खाते है, मंदिर वही बनायेंगे" यह उनका नारा रहा है। क्या वे २०१९ के पहले राम मंदीर बनाने के लिए अध्यादेश ला पायेंगे? उनकी भी यह परीक्षा की घड़ी होगी।

यदि हां, कोर्ट यदि जल्दी फैसला दे देता तो शायद इस विवाद के  राजनीतिकरण से बच सकता था और शायद कोर्ट का फैसला पक्ष और प्रतिपक्ष दोनों को स्वीकार्य हो सकता था।

लेकिन, शांतता! कोर्ट शुरु है।

Caged Parrot

The shake up in CBI has shaken up the country and politics is going to be on the boil till next big explosion.

The shake up is either a clean up operation of certain dirty games being played by it in collaboration with some high & mighty in opposition or it's an action to suppress certain wrongs by the present government.

I believe the first one to be more likely as the history of the desperate opposition on the corruption is well known. Unfortunately, it does not smell well.

Being in power for the longest period, it is much easier to assume that Congress has nourished many sympathizer in the beaurocracy and has developed an eco-system favourable to it. Many people in this class may also not be happy with the Modi government as the buzz word of the present government is accountability and good governance. Such eco system will not be liked by the corrupt lot.

We all remember that the Supreme Court in 2013 had denounced the CBI as a "caged parrot" and "its master's voice" when the government was headed by UPA.

Rahul Gandhi's recent revelation on the shake up is noteworthy and is being questioned by experts. How come he knew that CBI's no.1 was  probing Rafale deal and that's the reason for sending him on leave?

Is it not more likely that the government's mid night action on CBI was aimed at checkmating the opposition's game plan?

Hope the facts will be revealed through the fair investigation. With this perspective, the decision taken by the government to send the CBI's no. 1 & 2, both on leave appears to just and right.

योग क्या है?

योग क्या है? आज योग विश्व भर में अनेक रुपों में अपनाया गया है। विश्व अब 21 जून विश्व योग दिवस के रुप में भी मनाने लगा है। भारतीय ऋषि मुनियों ने योग को  कई तरह से परिभाषित किया है। योग शब्द संस्कृत धातु 'युज' से बना है, जिसका अर्थ है व्यक्तिगत चेतना या आत्मा का सार्वभौमिक चेतना से मिलन। योग को भारतीय योगाचार्यों ने विज्ञान भी कहा है। योग आसन से भिन्न है। आसन का संबंध केवल शरीर तक ही सीमित होता है। लेकिन योग इससे आगे जाकर शरीर, मन और आत्मा को एक साथ जोड़ने का काम करता है। योग एक प्राचीन भारतीय जीवन-पद्धति है, जिसे अपना कर मनुष्य न केवल स्वास्थ्य लाभ पाता है पर परम आनन्द की भी प्राप्ति करता है।

भारतीय योग पद्धति के जनक महर्षि पातंजलि के अनुसार 

'योगश्चित्तवृत्तिनिरोधः' योग चित्त की वृत्तियों के निरोध का नाम योग है।

योग का भगवद् गीता में भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने विस्तार से वर्णन किया है। भगवद् गीता के अनुसार  व्यक्त को अव्यक्त  से जोड़ने को योग कहा गया है।  शरीर और उसकी चेतना व्यक्त है, दिखाई देती है, अनुभव की  जा सकती है, लेकिन जिस अव्यक्त शक्ति के कारण यह व्यक्त रूप गतिमान होता है, उसे आत्मा कहा जाता है।  ईश्वरीय शक्ति भी अव्यक्त है। इसलिए योग  को व्यक्त शरीर और हमारी चेतना को अव्यक्त यानि आत्मा और उससे भी आगे जाकर अव्यक्त  ईश्वरीय शक्ति के बीच संबंध बनाने की प्रक्रिया  के रुप में देखा, समझा और प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव किया जाता है। ज्ञानी और सिद्ध पुरुषों के द्वारा  योग की प्रक्रिया  को  व्यावहारिक तरीके से  सिद्ध  कर पूरी तरह से विज्ञान के दायरे में  बांधा गया है।

असल में उस अव्यक्त ईश्वरीय शक्ति का व्यक्त रुप ही हमारी समस्त सृष्टि है। उस अव्यक्त शक्ति के बिना सृष्टि में शेष कुछ भी नही बचेगा।

Shloka 30, 31 & 32

यो मां पश्यति सर्वत्र सर्वं च मयि पश्यति |
तस्याहं न प्रणश्यामि स च मे न प्रणश्यति || 30||

सर्वभूतस्थितं यो मां भजत्येकत्वमास्थित: |
सर्वथा वर्तमानोऽपि स योगी मयि वर्तते || 31||

आत्मौपम्येन सर्वत्र समं पश्यति योऽर्जुन |
सुखं वा यदि वा दु:खं स योगी परमो मत: || 32||

He who sees Me in all things and all things in Me, never becomes separated from me, nor do I become separated from him. That yogi who, established in unity, worships Me, dwelling in all beings, abides in Me, whatever his mode of life. O Arjuna, thay yogi is regarded as the highest who judges the pleasure and pain of all beings by the same standard that he applies to himself.

Seeing others as self and self as others, feeling other's pain as pain to self is not the true religion? Should it not be regarded as the unifying message of religions?

When in today's world the religion is used as a tool to divide the society and people by political parties to gain votes of ignorant masses, the above message is even more relevant. This is a  message to all people of all religions, races or sects that binds all people in a common thread. It does not separate them but establishes love, harmony and together among the citizens of the world. Religion is a personal matter of choice and using it for political purpose and dividing people is a crime against the humanity.

If we refer this message as an extract from Bhagwad Gita, the today's world will ascribe it to a message from Hindu religion. If we don't tell an ignorant person that the message is from Bhagwad Gita, he will accept this as an universal truth. Gita also has not used the word 'Hindu' as a religion anywhere. Gita, a dialogue between Bhagwan Krishna and his friend and disciple Arjuna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra is said to be more than five thousand years old whereas the word Hindu has been coined few hundred years back.

And Hinduism is not a religion per se. It's a way of life and has an open architecture, a open source code to boot and  reboot one's life. Then why use it for dividing people? Why divide them as good Hindu or bad Hindu. On Hinduism, the Supreme Court of India in its 2995 judgement has also supported this view and said;

Indus which flows from the Punjab.

Unlike other religions in the world, the Hindu religion does not claim any one prophet, it does not worship any one god, it does not subscribe to any one dogma, it does not believe in any one philosophic concept, it does not follow any one set of religious rites or performances, in fact, it does not appear to satisfy the narrow traditional features of any religion or creed. It may broadly be described as a way of life and nothing more.

Sadly, no political party in India has been left untouched by politics of religion to garner few additional votes. All have discarded the meaning of true religion. Display of temple visits,  wearing tilak, display of janeu, wearing skull cap, visiting Churches or gurudwara, mandir, masjid; all fall under the dirty and vulgar game of politics.  People using these appeasement tools have no regard or commitment to any religion or any sect or society of people.

Beware of such politicians.

ये तेरा घर ये मेरा घर

हम सबका एक घर है, मेरा भी एक घर है। आपका भी है।

मेरे पड़ोसी का घर यदि उजड़ जाये तो उसे मै कुछ दिन के लिये तो अपने घर में शरण दे सकता हूं, उसे कुछ दिन खाना पीना दे सकता हूं।

लेकिन उसे हमेशा के लिए मेरे घर में पनाह देकर अपने घर की अर्थ व्यवस्था और सुख शांति बरबाद करना  मेरे लिए संभव नही होगा। पूरी उम्मीद है, आपके लिये भी नही होगा।

मनोज कुमार की फिल्म 'उपकार' का प्रसिद्ध कलाकार प्राण द्वारा बोला गया वह संवाद याद आता है, जिसमें प्राण मनोज कुमार से बार बार कहता है; "भारत तू दुनिया की छोड़ पहले अपनी सोच. राम ने हर युग में जन्म लिया है लेकिन लक्षमण जैसा भाई दोबारा पैदा नहीं हुआ".

उक्त संवाद आज भी सत्य की कसौटी पर खरा, उपयुक्त और व्यावहारिक है।

भारत मेरा देश है, मेरा घर है। यहां भी बाहर से आये शरणार्थियों को कुछ दिन के लिए तो पनाह दी जा सकती है। मानवता का सही तकाजा भी यही है और स्वीकार्य भी है।

रोहिंग्य शरणार्थियों के विषय में भी यही बात अक्षरशः सत्य है। उन्हें कुछ दिन तो भारत में शरण दी जा सकती है। लेकिन उन्हें स्थायी रूप से बसाकर भारत का सदस्य, नागरिक बनाना, उन्हें वोटर कार्ड और आधार कार्ड देना भारत के मूल नागरिकों के साथ अन्याय और धोका है। भारत की अर्थ व्यवस्था और सुख शांति को बुरी तरह से प्रभावित कर उस पर इससे ज्यादा और कोई कुठाराघात नही हो सकता। इन्हें भारत में बसाने की बात की मांग करने वालों का अघोषित असली और मूल मुद्दा तो घिनौनी वोट बेंक की राजनीति का है। कुछ अल्प संख्यकों के वोटों को पक्का करने की गहरी साजीश  मात्र है। एन आर सी का विरोध भी इसी साजीश का हिस्सा है। साजीश क्या यह भारत के विरुद्ध बहुत बड़ा षडयंत्र है।

रोहिंग्यों को भारत में बसाने की मांग करने वाले यदि इतने ही मानवता के पूजारी है तो वे इन्हें अपने अपने स्वयं के घरों में क्यों नही बसाते? उन्हें अपने स्वयं के घर का सदस्य क्यों नही बनाते? कश्मीर से निष्कासित अपने ही देश में शरणार्थी बनें कश्मीरी पंडितों के हक की जब बात आती है, तब तो उनकी बोलती बंद हो जाती है। उनके लिए केंडल मार्च नही निकलता और कोई सुप्रीम कोर्ट के दरवाजे नही खटखटाता। इनके लिए एक भी प्रशांत भूषण आधी रात को सामने नही आता।

अंत में फिर...

भारत तू दुनिया की छोड़ पहले अपनी सोच. राम ने हर युग में जन्म लिया है लेकिन लक्षमण जैसा भाई दोबारा पैदा नहीं हुआ.

भारत ने 1947 में एक भाई पाकिस्तान पैदा किया। इसके घाव का दर्द और रक्तपात वह आज तक झेल रहा है। भारत, और कितने भाई पैदा करोगे? कितना दर्द और रक्तपात झेलोगे?

एक ऐतिहासिक भूल या एक गहरी चाल

एक स्वतंत्र भारत के नागरिक के रुप में कभी कभी सोचने पर मजबूर हो जाता हूं कि १९४७ में जब भारत स्वतंत्र हुआ तब एक ब्रिटीश साम्राज्य, जिसके खिलाफ हमने आजादी की लड़ाई लड़ी, उसीके मुख्य प्रतिनिधि लॉर्ड माउंट बेटन को स्वतंत्र भारत का गवर्नर जनरल बनाना स्वीकार किया। क्या भारत में कोई भी व्यक्ति गवर्नर जनरल बनने के लायक नही था। कहते है लॉर्ड माउंट बेटन को गवर्नर जनरल बनाने के फैसले को भारत की केबिनेट में भी पास नही करवाया गया था। इस फैसले के पीछे जवाहरलाल नेहरु की ही प्रमुख भूमिका रही थी। क्या यह फैसला हमारी गुलाम मानसिकता का परिचायक नही था। सवाल सीधा है, जिसके खिलाफ हमने स्वतंत्रता की लड़ाई लड़ी उसे ही हमने अपना राष्ट्राध्यक्ष ही नही बना दिया बल्कि उसे ही प्रमुख सलाहकार भी मान लिया। या यो कहिए कि घर के लुटेरे को ही घर का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त कर दिया जाए। क्या यह एक ऐतिहासिक भूल थी या एक गहरी चाल या दोनों? भूल भारत की और चाल ब्रिटीश एम्पायर की?

इसके विपरीत स्वतंत्र पाकिस्तान ने अपना गवर्नर जनरल मो. अली जिन्ना को बनाया था, भारत की तरह किसी अंग्रेज को नही।

इतिहासकार कहते है कि नेहरु और लॉर्ड माउंट बेटन के इस युगलबंदी की ही देन हमारी सत्तर वर्ष पुरानी रक्तरंजित कश्मीर समस्या है। यह भी सही है कि कश्मीर के मुद्दे पर प्रमुख भूमिका नेहरु की ही रही थी और सरदार पटेल को इस मुद्दे से दूर ही रखा गया था।

इसीलिये कई विचारक मानते है कि यदि सरदार पटेल को भारत का  प्रथम प्रधान मंत्री बनाया जाता तो आज हम लोगों के सामने एक अलग ही भारत की तस्वीर होती। साथ ही भारत में लोकतंत्र अधिक मजबूत होकर डायनास्टिक राजनीति का जन्म न हुआ होता और एक ही परिवार में जन्में नेहरु-गांधी वारिसों ने राज न किया होता। जवाहरलाल नेहरु का भारत के निर्माण में योगदान का पूर्ण सम्मान करने के साथ ही कहने में कोई हर्ज न होगा कि इतिहास के कुछ घटनाक्रम या ऐतिहासिक गलतियों ने भारत को जो कश्मीर समस्या के जो घाव दिये और डायनास्टिक रुल की जो परिपाटी रखी उससे भारत की प्रभुसम्पन्नता, शक्ति और सच्चे लोकतंत्र का नुकसान भी कम नही हुआ।

Assam NRC, a storm in the political cup!

Almost all opposition political parties, pseudo secularists and liberals are up in arms to protect the 40 lakh illegal infiltrators in Assam. The West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee is going far beyond and threatening of a civil war and bloodbath in the country if these infiltrators are thrown out. The desh bhakta Congress party and the author of 1985 Assam accord signed by late Prime Minister Sh Rajeev Gandhi is not far behind and is equally at it's tows in opposing the draft NRC report.

The history of the 1985 accord!

The 1985 Assam accord was a culmination of six-year agitation launched by the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) in 1979 which paved the way for identification and deportation of illegal immigrants from Assam. As per the agreement, it was decided that all illegal infiltrators who entered the state between January 1966 and March 1971 would be disenfranchised for a period of 10 years, and those who came after March 1971 would be deported. And those who came to Assam prior to January 1, 1966, would be given Indian citizenship.

It emerges from the historical facts that signing the accord on paper was one thing for Congress while implementing it truthfully was another. Congress slept over the accord for considerable time and the provisions of the Assam accord were never implemented for a period of around 20 years.  Later on,  another agreement was signed in 2005 between the Congress lead  centre government,  the Assam government and the All Assam Students Union (AASU) and a decision was taken to update the NRC on the basis of NRC 1951 and electoral rolls up to 1971. A two-year deadline was also fixed to complete the exercise and  a pilot project was launched in some districts. However, it soon ended with the  eruption of violent agitations by groups opposed to such exercise and the NRC updation was halted. In 2009 Assam Public Works (APW), an NGO had filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding identification of Bangladeshi foreigners in the State and deletion of their names from the voters’ list. Finally, the Supreme Court ordered the government in 2013 to complete the exercise by December 31, 2017. This has led  to the present updation of NRC over which political leaders and the protectors of law & order are threatening their country men of civil war &  bloodbath if the NRC is implemented.

Now why opposition are opposing the NRC? It's pure appeasement politics of vote bank and nothing else. They all see twin benefits in opposing the NRC. One, to consolidate their Muslim vote bank in India and two, garnering the additional vote bank of those 40 lakh infiltrators if they get Indian citizenship. They don't have any other considerations like human rights or helping the needy poor people who have made India their home illegally. They talk of it but it is only a leap service for people's consumption. Their hearts never bleed for Kashmiri pundits who are forced to become refugee in their own country after they were forcefully evicted from Kashmir. Of-course their hearts again bleeds for the Rohingya Muslims whom they want to settle in India. They too have a potential to be a captive vote bank in future and is integral part of the twin benefits.  They never threaten a civil war if corruption is not rooted out from the politics and country. Their hearts never bleed for poor homeless  Indians sleeping on pavements and leading inhuman lives in slums. They never threatened a civil war to uplift the poor Indian citizens and dying farmers. The poor, the homeless, the jobless, the dalits and the downtroddens are the political tools in their hands to use them and throw them when the need is over. The need is only the votes. And for votes, they can throw the poor in fire, can create mass agitations & riots and burn public & state properties and the cities.

And of-course the national interest come very late in their priorities. They can compromise the national interests for political gains. They can come in support of terrorists and attackers of parliament.   They can shake hands with separatists and even ask help from enemy country to remove a democratically elected prime minister. They can call chief of our army as 'sadak ka gunda'. Power is the only consideration in their mind and everything else either comes very late or has zero value in their scheme of things.

The draft NRC in Assam is one step and is subject to correction through a process of rectification. India's soverignity, integrity and right of its native citizens is prime most and cannot be compromised. India is already  engulfed with many internal problems and the country cannot afford to add another to its cup and share it's precious resources with illegal infiltrators. Why only Assam, the illegal Bangladeshi migrants are spread all over India with high percentage in states like West Bengal, Bihar, Maharashtra etc. As per the government estimate, presently India is having over 20 millions illegal Bangladeshis living in India. So why not we have a nation wide NRC? It's seems to be impossible in the current scenario of vote bank politics where the desh bhaktas and desh rakshaks are turning to desh bhakshaks just to grab power and remain stuck with it.

The time will only tell which way the storm of Assam NRC, will blew the political cup!

गीता सार और वर्तमान भारत

अर्जुन जो एक समय युद्ध छोड़कर जीवन यापन के लिए भिक्षा मांगने के लिए तैयार हो गया था, आखिर युद्ध के लिए खड़ा हो गया।

क्यों?

इसलिए नही कि उसे भगवान कृष्ण ने गीता का उपदेश देकर युद्ध के लिए तैयार किया। बल्कि वह अपने स्वतः की इच्छा से अपने  विवेक का उपयोग कर युद्ध के लिए प्रेरित हुआ। भगवान कृष्ण तो एक आवाज,  एक माध्यम, एक अन्तरआत्मा के द्योतक मात्र थे। इससे यही तत्व निकलता है कि जिन्दगी में कोई मार्ग दर्शक हो सकता है लेकिन अपनी लड़ाई हर एक को स्वयं लड़ना पड़ता है।

यही गीता सार है, यही धर्म हे, यही नीतिधर्म है, यही कर्तव्य है, यही कर्म है, यही कर्मयोग है। इसी में स्वयं का और जगत का हित है।

हर युग में दैवी शक्तियों और आसुरी शक्तियों के बीच सदा से टकराव रहा है। देश-काल के अनुसार इन शक्तियों की मात्रा कम ज्यादा हो सकती है। रावन सतीयुुग में भी था और आज कलियुग में भी है। धृतराष्ट्र और दुर्योधन त्रेतायुग में भी थे और आज कलियुग में भी है। उसी प्रकार भगवान राम भी सतीयुग में थे और कलियुग में भी है। भगवान कृष्ण त्रेतायुग में भी थे और आज कलियुग में भी है।अर्जुन तब भी था, आज भी है। राजनीति उस समय भी थी और आज भी है।

आज के परिपेक्ष में देखा जाए तो भारत भूमि पर आज भी महाभारत का युद्ध चल रहा है। कुछ ताकतें सत्ता के लिए धृतराष्ट्र की तरह अंधे होकर अपने अपने दुर्योधनों को सत्ता की कुर्सी पर बिठाना चाहते है, वही कुछ लोग इनके विरोध में प्रजातांत्रिक तरीके से लड़ने के लिए प्रेरित हो रहे है। सत्ता की होड़ में आसुरी शक्तियां मानसिक रूप से पथभ्रष्ट होकर छ्ल-कपट, लूट, भ्रष्टाचार,  समाज को जात पांत, दलित-महादलित, अल्पवर्ग, सवर्ण, आरक्षण-अनारक्षण, हिन्दु-मुस्लिम, और तो और राष्ट्र विरोधी बाहरी ताकतों से भी हाथ मिलाकर देश की जड़े कमजोर कर रहे है। वही कुछ ताकतें इनके विरोध में खड़ी दिखती है। लेकिन इनमें भी दैवी शक्तियां पर्याप्त मात्रा में दिखाई नही देती। कोई बात नही। त्रेतायुग भी कौरव सौ थे और पांडव केवल पांच। अन्तर यही था कि कौरवों के साथ अनीति थी, अधर्म था वही पांडवों के साथ कृष्ण थे, नीति थी, धर्म था।इसके लिए समाज को, देश के नागरिकों को  जागरुक होकर दैवी शक्तियों को बलशाली बनाने की जरूरत है। अपने अन्दर स्थित कृष्ण की आवाज सुनना है। नीति और धर्म के पथ पर चलना है। हरेक को अर्जुन बनना है तभी देश का अर्जुन विजयी होगा और कौरवों की भीड़ पराजित होगी।

Four principles of Spirituality

It is not important whether you believe in spirituality or not, the four principles of spirituality apply to all from the moment one is born and will remain there till the end!

The First Principle states:

"Whomsoever you encounter is the right one"

This means that no one comes into our life by chance. Everyone who is around us, anyone with whom we interact, represents something, whether to teach us something or to help us improve a current situation.

The Second Principle states:

"Whatever happened is the only thing that could have happened"

Nothing, absolutely nothing of that which we experienced could have been any other way. Not even in the least important detail. There is no "If only I had done that differently, then it would have been different". No. What happened is the only  thing that could have taken place and must have taken place for us to learn our lesson in order to move forward. Every single situation in life which we encounter is absolutely perfect, even when it defies our understanding and our ego.

The Third Principle states:

"Each moment in which something begins is the right moment"

Everything begins at exactly the right moment, neither earlier nor later. When we are ready for it, for that something new in our life, it is there, ready to begin.

The Fourth Principle states:

"What is over, is over"

It is that  simple. When something in our life ends, it helps our evolution. That is why, enriched by the recent experience, it is better to let go and move on.

Think it is no coincidence that you're here reading this.

Indian Politics & People

There are three types of people in India, especially with respect to their political liking or disliking, generally speaking  in today's context.

The first category includes those who like Modi, the Prime Minister, the second category includes those who do not like Modi and the third category includes the fence seaters. The fence seaters can swing to any side depending upon the situations & circumstances. The fence seaters may have their independent mind or they can be politically neutral or disinterested also. The people who like the present regime are called Modi bhaktas and those who don't like Modi (they dislike to be called as bhaktas of x, y or z..but some people use different terminology something similar for this group). The second category of people have different political philosophy, beliefs and ideology, even some times diagonally opposite within but one thing is common to them that they all oppose Modi. 

The political combination of 'oppose Modi'  group may fight within themselves but they get united against Modi. They can also come together to form a political front for this very purpose, of course with their eyes deeply rooted on the win in  elections. They are so blind that they will oppose Modi for each and every thing in India or outside that happens or does not happen. They will never see a reason to appreciate any positive work being done by Modi government.

On the other hand, the Modi bhaktas are no different. They will praise everything that Modi does and don't use any reasoning to oppose Modi if something does goes wrong. The escape of likes of Vijay Mallaya, Nirav Modi & Mehul Choksi is certainly a failure of this government or the machinery under it. But the Modi bhaktas will not admit it. While, it is also a fact that all these escapists, bhagodas in Hindi, committed all the sins during the opposite regime, they will put the entire blames & responsibility on Modi government.

Such a situation is not a healthy one for democracy. The opposition camp should be constructive & logical in their behaviour keeping the national interest as paramount while the ruling class should also open to criticism and admit lapses if happen knowingly or unknowingly. These should be the 'rajdharma'.

 However, if they don't follow the 'rajdharma' the normal public should not fall prey to their political manoeuvre. Public should not become blind bhaktas or anti bhaktas. Unfortunately, on social media , we see general public fighting against each other, either to prove that Modi government is 100% pure or the earlier regimes were greatest India ever had. It is a fact that had the earlier regime the greatest, there would not have been a Modi. Why can't we see 'black' as black and 'white' as white without any bias or tilt.

Unfortunately, India is yet to reach this maturity level.

PNB Scam and after..

When we start liking some one or have high hopes from such person, we tend to ignore his/her slippages. This holds true for our present prime minister, Sh Narendra Modi too. While opposition leaders are not losing an opportunity to blame him for  everything on the earth & in the sky that goes or doesn't go wrong, his fans give him benifits of doubt on his failures & defend him. I too do place lots of hopes on him and believe that he is the best available option & opportunity for India to be an economically super power & a great world leader.

The people like Vijay Mallya, Mehul Choksi & Nirav Modi started & have grown their corrupt empires during UPA era, they all escaped from India when Modi was at the helm of affairs. Like, as we are discussing that the PNB loot cannot happen without the knowledge, blessings & instructions from the top,  the escape of Mallya, Choksi & Nirav Modi too cannot happen without prior information & alerts from their close channels or sympathisers in the present regime of government. On this count, Modi government cannot escape the accountability. PM Modi has definitely knowingly or unknowingly failed on this count. But, he thinks beyond what we can imagine. It is possible that he is waiting for a proper time to nail the guilties and hang them. He is politician who is far  ahead of his opponents within his party or outside and no one can just write him off. Only time will tell what his does and what he doesn't before 2019 general elections.

Again if we critically compare the UPA era & NDA era, UPA is certainly guilty of creating monumental loots & scams after scams bringing India to the brink.  In comparison, the NDA era appears much much much cleaner with higher growth but of course with some shortfalls here and there. India under Modi also could achieve a tall order on the international arena where India's strength is being reckoned by the world leaders. Therefore, I will again place my hopes on the NDA under Modi for 2019 as neither there is any leader like Modi in the opposition who can lead India nor there can be any amalgamation of the fragmented leaders. The khichdi experiment is not going to work  any more for India.
