What a great land, India which has produced great man like Gautam Buddha...
"Gautam Buddha was an incarnation of mercy. It is told that he even offered his own life to save a goat that had been made ready for sacrifice. The king who was performing the rite spared the animal's life and became a devout follower of the "Enlightened One.""
.... Paramhansa Yogananda in The Bhagwad Gita...Royal Science of God Realization.
The teachings of Gautam Buddha are more relevant today when the civilisation is witnessing mass violence, killings, murders, rapes, loot, acts of terrorism and hatred everywhere. The need is the percolation of little awareness in the minds of perpetrators of such heinous crimes against the humanity. The perpetrators have to realize where they are leading the humanity. But, the most difficult task is how to make them aware as they are blind and are leading the blinds. Can we do it by modifying the seeds? Surely, we can but it will take time for the seeds to germinate and become a fully grown up trees. We have to revive and reintroduce the teachings of Buddha & Gandhi for the little children at school levels. The politicians, the governments, students, the youth, teachers, families and we, the everyone in society have to reboot their thinking and philosophies for inculcating value based teachings at home, schools, clubs, societies and everywhere. We organise many social & cultural events in societies but forget the basic theme behind such events which must not be missed. The theme has to be love, compassion and truthfulness. The reprogramming has to be done at the level of seeds then only we can have a blossoming tree of peace, harmony, love and mutual respect.
The great men like Buddha have shown the path. The path is available to us fully guided by these noble men. We have to only walk the path. The seed is important and so the role of gardener too. We cannot escape the responsibility of walking on the path and creating a good ground for planting future trees of love, peace, harmony & truth.
